Sacramento Mather Airport is located in Rancho Cordova at the site of the former Mather Air Force Base. The base closed in 1993 and transitioned to civilian aviation, cargo, and military reserve operations. Today Mather hosts general aviation through Mather Jet Center and occasional cargo flights. There is no scheduled commercial passenger service. Your driver meets you inside the FBO lobby or at the designated vehicle lane. We need your tail number, FBO name, and arrival time at least 24 hours ahead. Security at the gate may require driver credentials, so advance notice is essential.
Sedan transfers from Mather start at $130 from Rancho Cordova.
One-way sedan pricing includes taxes and airport fees, plus a 30-minute grace period after scheduled arrival. Gratuity, parking, and additional stops are extra. SUVs, executive sedans, and Sprinter vans are available by quote. Rates assume private or charter arrivals at the Mather Jet Center or another on-field FBO.

Drive times depend on U.S. 50 and Sunrise Boulevard.
Mather sits southeast of downtown Sacramento near the junction of U.S. 50 and Sunrise Boulevard. Rancho Cordova and Folsom are the fastest destinations, usually reachable in under 25 minutes. Downtown Sacramento runs take U.S. 50 west, which slows near the Watt Avenue interchange during commute hours. For Davis and West Sacramento, we use Interstate 80 or U.S. 50 to Interstate 5. Roseville and Rocklin routes use Highway 65 north or Sunrise Boulevard to Interstate 80. Military reserve training and cargo operations can occasionally restrict gate access or create noise-related delays.
Honest limitation: Mather has no commercial airline terminal.
Mather does not handle scheduled airline passengers. The facilities are geared toward general aviation, cargo, and military users. Restrooms and ground services exist inside the FBO, but there are no baggage carousels or rental car centers. If your airline ticket says Sacramento, you need SMF ground transportation instead. Some charter brokers list Mather as an alternative to SMF, so confirm the airport code before booking.
