West Sacramento faces downtown across the Sacramento River, joined by the Tower Bridge and the I Street Bridge, and it is one of the quickest places in the region to reach by car from the Capitol. We book rides here for River Cats games at Sutter Health Park, offices along the riverfront and West Capitol Avenue, state and pension agency meetings, and short runs to Sacramento International Airport. Rides are reserved in advance and carried out by vetted local affiliate chauffeurs.
The city includes the riverfront Bridge District around Sutter Health Park, the older neighborhoods off West Capitol Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard, and the Southport area to the south. CalSTRS has its headquarters here, and many visitors to the Capitol stay on the west side of the river and cross the Tower Bridge for meetings on Capitol Mall.
Getting to SMF from West Sacramento
SMF is a short drive north via I-80 and I-5, or local roads along the river when the freeway is slow. It is one of the shortest airport runs we offer, but the I-80 and I-5 interchange still slows in the evening commute, so allow a little extra time for late-afternoon departures. The West Sacramento to SMF route page lists typical timing.
Game nights at Sutter Health Park
After a River Cats game or a concert at the ballpark, traffic around the Bridge District and the Tower Bridge approach can be slow for a while. We agree on a pickup point before the first pitch, a short walk from the gates, and your chauffeur texts when the car is in place. For groups, a Sprinter carries up to fourteen people at $240 per hour with a three-hour minimum.
Rates for West Sacramento rides
Point-to-point fares start at $130 for a sedan and $160 for an SUV, with your exact fare confirmed in writing before you book. Hourly service is $120 per hour for a sedan, $150 for an SUV and $230 for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, each with a three-hour minimum.
- Short runs to SMF and downtown Sacramento
- Game-night pickups at agreed meeting points
- Meetings at agency offices and along the riverfront
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup
Meetings on both sides of the river
A day that starts at an agency office in West Sacramento and ends at the Capitol is a natural fit for hourly service. The chauffeur waits between stops, crosses the river as often as the schedule needs and keeps your materials in the car.
An honest limitation
Bridge closures and event traffic can turn a five-minute crossing into a much longer one. When a game, concert or festival is on, we build extra time into cross-river pickups.
